I've had this series on *shock* VHS for a while now, and my brother dug them out the other day and we watched loads of it. Fantastic, surreal but hilarious stuff, and really show up the lack of any decent comedy on TV today.
Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding as agony aunts, cream horns, Food and Drink and Antiques Roadshow sketches, Slade in residence, Mulligan & O'Hare, Uncle Peter, the man trapped under the ice ("he's got a biscuit!"), the regular Reeves and Mortimer product showcase (including the 'R&M Walk Me Home Chedder'), Le Corbussier Et Papin, Noel's Addicts, a guess appearance from Lovejoy and the hilarious section when they sit at their tat covered desk.
It's just a shame they're not on dvd yet.
I reckon it's funny.
But, i bet you can't remember 'Bang Bang, it's Reeves and Mortimer'.
It's on tonight, 11:00pm, Paramount 2.
I used to love that sketch of the two tramps on the beach, who stubornly loved their skanky lives. "Fuuuun fuuuun fuuuuun". The sketch with the mechanical monkey in the box was brilliant!
