I was thinking about getting a Region 1 DVD. I have a multi region DVD player but my TV is about 6 -7 years old. Region 2 DVDs work fine on my TV. Its just I read an article that Region 1 DVD don't give a proper picture or sound on old TVS

I was wandering if Region 1 DVDs work on old tvs?

I also want to know are there any disadvantages with getting a Region 1 DVD?

Thank you

Needs to be NTSC compatible. Being old, it's not definitely going to work.

My telly (which is pretty old) shows Region 1's in black and white.
I'm guessing it's because it doesn't have the right connections or something ... but whatever.
