Fantastic. Beautiful. Excellently acted and superbly directed, with some of the best action scenes I've ever seen (the final snow-drenched battle is going to be watched on DVD many many times, believe me).

It's better than Hero, there's none of that government nonsense going on, it's just good old fashioned swordsplay, ninjas, fighting in trees and blokes falling in love with pretty girls, then rucking over her.

It owns, go see see see.

Yeah saw this a week or two back. Great film, but not quite as good as Hero I felt. Mei taking forever to die was a bit stupid and that detracted somewhat. Although, the fight in the snow was great.

Oldboy got a wide cinematic release and that doesn't have swords in it. And that's brilliant as well.

It looked good but I was with my family and they wanted to see Lemony Snicket. A Series of Unfortunate Events was alright, but I think I would've liked this better.

I'll wait until my local Uni film club get hold of it.
That's what I've had to do for Hero.
Stupid, mainsteam-sucking, Leicester Odeon Cinema!

It was good, but then it was never going to be bad because it looked just like Hero. They could have taken scenes from the cutting room floor and made it into this film. There's only so much beautiful scenery and traditional folksong you can take before you start complaining to yourself that you've seen it all before. And it had the stench of only being released over here because of the success of Hero and CTHD - which is a shame, because they're all good films, just too damn similar! There's plenty of variation in Eastern cinema, but the publishers over here in the West have made the mistake of going for the safe bet. Quite annoying to grumble over a film that was good, but it left me uneasy because of the politics behind its release. Bah.

The action scenes were good, and some of it was highly entertaining, but there was not enough action to balance out the pointless tosh IMO. And I'm never a big fan of the flying thing.

will you even understand why they're fighting over the woman then?
... or is the idea that by the time it's out on dvd you may be some way to negotiating the dizzy haze of puberty? ;)

I saw it and thought it was rather pap.

Silly cliché Japanese triangle love
Annoying subtitles
The woman would NOT die.

**Spoiler**

(people in the cinema were clapping when she finally did)

**Spoiler over**

Although the bit with the arrows-from-long range was rather impressive.
