Bought in the sale for £5 at Blockbuster, I'd forgotten just how goddamn funny this is.
"Office Space".
Bloke hates his office job, gets hypnosis. Hypnotist dies before finishing, bloke goes to work with a "whatever" attitude.
That's the basic, basic plot but it doesn't do justice to how well this nails Joe Average's loathing of work-life.

"PC Load Letter? What the #@$% does that mean? I swear I'll kill you"
"No we'll get to sent to Federal Pound-me-in-the-ass Prison"
"I told those fudgepackers I liked Micheal Bolton"
"It was fine until I was 12, then that no-talent assclown made records"
"I don't like my job so I've decided I'm not going to go back"

And yeah, great film.

The way Milton was acted was brilliant I thought.

His neighbour was Rex in Napoleon Dynamite too.

Also - Mike Judge is making another movie, and interestingly, Milton (Stephen Root), Michael Bolton (David Herman) and Drew (Greg Pitts) are going to be in it.

I dunno, but it is a good film. Took me ages to realise where else I'd seen his neighbour - J&SBSB.

I'd always assumed the effects of the hypnosis just wore off eventually.

Yeah love this film. Can't wait for Mike Judge's next project. It sound's kind of Futurama-ish and should be excellent. Beavis and Butthead, King of the Hill, Office Space. The man's a legend.

Yeah, great flick. Getting a mild electric shock from the door handle is so true to real office life...

And I agree about it sort of trailing off, but the back to work montage is amazing, especially when he just walks around his boss, ignoring him.

Yeah, good film.

It's not quotable, but one of my favourite parts is when they go into the coffee shop for the first time, and the over-enthusiastic waiter comes up and pretends to machine gun them.

I remember it. Pretty good film.
Although a lot of it was probably over my head back then.
I'll have to catch it again some time.

**SPOILERS**

About the hypnosis plot thingamy, it sort of leaves him unattached to anything (including that girlfriend that he doesn't really like anymore anyway, and everyone gets that feeling about her anyway) and this leads him to a new girlfriend and a better job that gradually brings on him fresh attachments.

And yes, it ends up with some stuttery guy burning down the entire firm. :-)
