"Hollywood actor Johnny Depp has asked for a cameo role in cult comedy series Little Britain.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star is apparently a big fan of the show; in particular, butch transvestite Emily Howard.

"His favourite character is Emily and he's indicated that he'd love to play a friend of hers," a source told the Daily Star. "He's made it clear he's not afraid to dress in drag."

Series co-creator Matt Lucas confirmed: "We're looking into it. It would be great if Johnny could appear."

He was in The Fast Show as well, obivously likes British comedy strangely.
