I've just been on a DVD buying bunge (damndamndamndamndamn. Just after Xmas too) and have been recommended these movies. Dually purchased.

Opinions?

I think the audience for this movie are the sorts of women that think Alan Titchmarsh is sexy and Monty Don is a "hunk".
Which is fair enough, just don't fancy it myself.

I hereby predict the crushing end to most of the careers of the LOTR troupe.

One of them will do a Harrison and be successful, but it's Star Wars mkII for the rest of 'em.

Watched the trailer for Hidalgo on one DVD. Thought "Hmm, looks ok in a mildly entertaining sort of way"

Watched it again on another DVD and thought "Nope. Total dross."

Well at least there was a woman's hand behind the choice.
No man alive wants to watch the "swoonsome" Aragorn riding a horse through a desert for 2hrs.
He should have ridden Orlando Bloom for 2hrs, preventing him from making The Crusades and satisfying the teen girls/lusty menopausal women that rent Hidalgo.
