He's donated over 5 million pounds to the tsunami victims.
Brilliant.

It's just a shame that he seems to be the only one amongst a collection of over paid sports stars and "celebrities" to donate any amount of money that is of any significance.

I say fair play to him for putting the money he owns towards a good course and it really shows how other rich people can't be arsed or don't want to help.

That's a giant donation for one single person, even for someone as rich as Schumacher.

Yeah good on him. I wonder how many professional footballers are putting their hands in their pockets.

I'll not argue with that. I too think he seems like a genuinely nice guy.

It was on Sky Sports news.

And yeah, it's true - I suppose there may be a few who donate anonymously as not to draw attention.
But Schumy to me isn't really the sort of person who'd purposely attach his name to it in a bid for publicity.

He does genuinely seem like one of the less cynical sportsmen out there.

Where did you get that info from? (yeah, yeah. I'm too lazy to look it up).

I can't see him being the only one. Possibly he's one of the only ones who made a large donation with his name attached to it.
