utter cack.
it MAY have been me, so if i'm wrong, feel free to correct me.
there was no sound at the start, it seemed like there was a commercial break every 5 seconds and i think it over-ran, meaning that my video cuts out half way through the main event.. so i have to re-tape it mid-week anyway.
so in conclusion: DOH!
however, the show itself was quality, RAW continues it's roll of being pretty damn good!
hehe, added smirk points for that dude from La Resistance who botched a kip-up... and boy did the crowd notice :)
i'm not even attempting them in a spot until i can nail it every time... so far i've yet to nail it once *lol* DOUBLE DOH!
i think maybe the 2 kip-ups was a planned spot, Grenier does one and acts cocky, so Shelton does one and gets a pop, grenier goes over to conway who is praising his kip-up and then conway points out that benjimin is running towards him.
however, he blew the kip-up so he made out to be apologising instead. i think they just adapted the spot in accordance with the character and the botch.
well played all round.
i really hope that's right, cos THAT'S the kind of thing i love about the wrestling frame of mind and my favourite part of building a match is working out funky spots to make the face shine.... shame i'm still quite poor at it :D
i dont know though...just guessing
Also i think Sylvain Grenier did mess up on purpose because straight after he was apologising to Conway and that gave Benjamin time to nip-up.
good point mate, although i feel the sudden move would still fit him well when the promotion to main event status arrives.

I'd agree with you if they were pushing him as a main-eventer, where a sudden move that can be hit at any point is the way to go. As an upper mid-carder they should make more of his amateur background, which is where I feel a submission hold would be more useful. It would also enable him to focus his ring work around a single body part, something he needs to do, to avoid being labelled as just another brawler...

hmmm, i'm not convinced.
the t-bone suplex has the right pace for the character, but he needs a cool move that can be applied quickly. the stunner or the RKO are good cause they can come out of very little, the t-bone is a move that really only gets set up one way. a fast impact move works well though.

Same with Doug Basham having to team with Danny for that matter...

I think a submission hold of some sort would suit his character. Maybe a full-nelson, camel-clutch. Man, I mark out whenever I see anyone use that hole, because I used to use it as a 'finisher' when we used to imitate wrestling on the playground...
