Quite what you expected me to say i have no idea but if it was anything along the lines of 'It wasn't a goal' then sorry to disappoint you.
It was quite clearly a goal and is yet another example of why we need a shake up in the game. On these forums there's a topic asking what things can be done to sort it out and you can see i'd suggested using an American Sports system with refs dotted around the pitch with the most important point saying one ref on each side of the pitch should be watching the goal line or at least the penalty box. Had this been the case he'd have been in the perfect position to see it was a goal. I still hold that opinion, there's been far too many serious errors in the space of a few weeks and something needs to be done. Spurs were robbed and should have the 3 points and i'd be just as mad if it was the other way around just like everyone else on this forum would be if it happened to their team.
But don't ever call into question my loyalty and support for my club and also if you're such great fans in the position of being able to criticise other people how on earth did you get back from Old Trafford so quickly to come on the net?
And for future notice i work late shifts at 5-10 over the weekdays and don't always come online each day so no more need to worry about where Laker has gotten to

Says the man with Everton players in his fantasy football team. You make me sick. Any club that two of the greatest Welsh players of all time spend most or all of their careers at is good enough for me.
Its fine saying that it should just be used for seeing if it was a goal or not (much like they do in rugby to see if it was a try) but I'm pretty sure that if its introduced then people are going to call for it to be used for other things each time the ref misses something big.
Like dangerous fouls, cheating etc.
Also the technology is there, but not for every professional game thats played, is it fair to have it for the big games but not for others?
I'm neutral. In fact, I'm a Pool supporter, so I should hate United. Which I don't.

You heathen!

Yes in American Sports you have the head official but every referee can make decisions and overule the other refs if he had a much better view of the incident. The head official would be the one handing out the cards and being in charge of the little things in the game but for the big incidents you'll have about 3 or people viewing it instead of just 1 or 2

Based on the flow of the game. Just like a draw would have been a fair result at anfield instead of a chelsea win.
I do hate Spurs though. It's a toss up between them and Millwall for the worst fans in the world. Oh, and the England national team. Dirty English (except Stevie and Mikey and Carra and Joey Joey Cole)

Good good. Considering this is what the forums are for, sharing opinions and having a laugh, I think that's what I've been doing.

Heh, I just wanted to hear the views of a United fan on the forum, to be honest. Damarus had been on and spewed a load of crap when in truth I'd have rather had an ACTUAL opinion on the game and incident in question.

This sounds like a good idea, the whole multiple refs thing. Would I be correct to assume that there'd still be a standard ref in the middle of it all? Oh, and another thing I would support is equal rights to decision making between linesman and refs. How many times do you see a ref give a decision over half a pitch away with no input from the linesman?
One more thing - assistants behind the goals? Not just to help see if the ball is over the line but for corner/penalty decisions perhaps. (I should really be checking this thread out you mention out!)

Yes, I agree. On the other hand, Lil Bro told me that ortega said it was a fair result.

Sorry, I generally don't go to football matches that my team aren't playing in. I'm not a Spurs fan, and I'm not a Man Utd fan.

Okay, sorry, I apologise for this its just you're a regular Utd poster here and after such a big game I expected you to be online.
It was said jokingly, hence the "AHAHA" and etc. The truth is that all neutrals loves seeing the big teams mess up and that includes me.
My Dad's supported Man U since he was a kid and because of this I've been a supporter since I was old enough to know what a football team is.
