Is it worth getting a PS2? Just wondering as the price will come down in a few months and no current game has made me go 'must have that'. Are there any great games?

yes but if you buy an import machine you have to buy import games which cost more
Japanese Ps2 has got a better selection of games they are FFx July this year. Or get the American Ps2 they also have a godd selection of games out.

mjwest1701 In my opion get a PS2 right now. As for me it has had a few good games e.g. Tekken Tag Tournament, Ridge Racer 5, Timsplitter, Shadow Of Memories, Zone Of The Enders, Starwars Starfighter, Dead Or Alive 2, SSX, Quake 3 and a quite few other good games.
In a few months there are at least 4 or 5 good games coming out which include Gran Turismo 3, The Bouncer, Red Faction, Extermination and Onimushua.
There are also very good games coming out by the end of the year, Metal Gear Soild 2, Silent Hill 2, Devil May Cry and Final Fantasy 10.
If game like GT3 and MGS2 appeal to you and you want to get them then get a PS2 pretty soon, maybe just before GT3 release. If the games out now interest you aswell as future games, then get a PS2 as soon as you can.
People always say Console A is better than Console B, but if you hate the games on Console A and like the games on Console B then Console B is for you.
Take a look around this site, other websites, magazines e.t.c and if games that are out or coming out on the PS2 appeal to you then get one. If there was only one or two games that you like that was out or is comming out on the PS2 then you may not want to get it, it depends if you want to spend £300 on just one or two games.
I personnally have a PS2(Since Launch day) and say that its amazing. It got off to a slow start but its getting there and by the summer it will have a collection of top class games. Hope this helps mjwest1701.
