What has happened?
A Virus Warning has been released from the Symantec AntiVirus Research Center (SARC).
The virus name is VBS.VBSWG2.X@mm.
It is an encrypted VBScript worm which uses a known exploit to send itself to all recipients in an infected user's Microsoft Outlook address book.
The worm has a payload that opens a Web site which contains pornographic contents.
How will this affect me?
If you are running NAV Corporate Edition, you should already be protected against this virus.
If you are not running NAV Corporate Edition, (i.e., you are using the retail version of the product, NAV 2000/2001), update your virus definitions IMMEDIATELY!
You should not be in danger from this virus unless you open an infected attachment.
Simply reading/previewing an email with the virus attached will not allow the virus to execute and infect your system.
If you believe that you have this virus, IMMEDIATELY disconnect your computer from the production network and call the IT HelpDesk.
COME ON YOU LIVEREPOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
