So are there any Super Furry Animals fans out there in forumnia?

They've released 5 albums, 3 regular albums, 1 B-sides and rarities album and a Welsh language album.

All of which are fantastic.

Their first album "Fuzzy Logic" was released back in 1996, in the days of Britpop. The album was criminally ignored by the public, that rushed out in droves to buy Kula Shaker's album 'K' instead, 'Fuzzy Logic' features some great songs, including "Hometown Unicorn" and "God, Show me Magic". There were 12 wonderful tracks in all.

Their second album followed only a year later, 'Radiator'. It took the Furries sound on to a new level, showing more of their influences. There's a much larger variety of songs on this album, from the upbeat "Play it Cool" to the sublime "Short Painkiller". A host of fantastic singles released from this album, including "Hermann Loves Pauline" a song about Einsteins parents, and "The International Language of Screaming". It was also the first album to feature a Welsh language song, which ironically was the more 'pop' sounding of the 14 tracks.

In 1998 a compilation of B-Sides and Rarities was released "Out Spaced." This featured the anthem 'The Man Don't Give A', a popular song at their live shows. The album was a real mix of styles, featuring both Welsh and English language songs.

1999 saw the release of Guerrila, another fantastic album. Songs here range from the comical The Teacher and Chewing Chewing Gum, to the calypso Northern Lights. Then theres the wonderfully odd song about a mobile phone, "Wherever I lay my phone, that's my home." Another absolute classic from the Furries.

2000 saw the release of the first ever wholly Welsh language album toreach the top 20, Mwng. Another top album, maybe a little less catchy than previous releases is still rather fantastic.

This year, of course sees the release of a new SFA album. Next month in fact. i for one can't wait.

Anyone else?

Ahh the furries, my one true love.

Seen them three times in Cardiff, Port Talbot and Tenby. The Cardiff gig was immense, a one off for the album Guerilla and was displayed in Surrond Sound. The finale was mucho cool with Cian on the decks kicking out The Man Don't give a F**K (as the end of any furry gig).

Port Talbot was supposedly the best gig they had ever played too, and the best part definately had to tbe Daf on the timpani drums in a sort of interval type thing. The

Tenby gig, oh well lets not go into that, coz I kinda 'left' towards the end, and when I say 'left' I mean 'kicked out', for Crowd Surfing I think (didnt have much time to debate with the Bouncer!).

My fave song has to be Play it Cool, or Notrthen Lites coz both are just so uplifting in the Super Furry Way which makes them my one true love.

BTW, the new album is called 'Rings Around the World', released mid June.

A single will precede it on 4th June, I think.
