As if we needed any more proof that online gaming is now a reality and here to stay. Online gaming is the most revolutionary thing to happen to video games since 3D. And now business recognises this.

Well it didn't really almost break the internet just the connections for the game and xbox live. It is good that companies are starting to take notice of console online gaming now. Even though i don't own a new gen console or care to touch them. through feeling dirty when in the room with one. hopefully it will meaqn the games will improve more towards the online aspect. With the keyboard and mouse convertor for the xbox we could see some decent pc/xbox joint fps games.

Fine by me - if it makes ISPs and co work harder to get decent connections, great.

As long as they don't get $ signs in their eyes and start charging for bandwith as default.

On the other hand though, if it forces BT to re-upgrade their exchanges so everyone who can only get 512Mb gets pushed up to 1/1.5Mb, all will be good.

You can guarantee BT will be looking for a nice profit from any upgrades though, putting the ball into the ISP's court, as it were.
