Personally, I think, as many other people do, that Nintendo wil steal the show, but Sony and Newcomers Microsoft won't leave without a fight. I think that Microsoft will come out with a break-through game....I don't know what it will break exactly, but I do think that they will take some of the spotlight home from E3 this year.
Sony - The most loved and Hated company in the world....doesn't seem to make sense I know but hey...without them, we would have no GT3, and the way things are looking, that WOULD be a bad thing.
There are rumors of Rare developing a GT3 beater, but do we really want that, I mean if Rare concentrate on 'beating' SONY at their own game, they might not play their own and Nintendo fans might miss out on what could have been the next 'Masterpiece'
Microsoft - Maybe even more hated than Sony, but Bill gates can't be that bad, after all, we have 'Windows', and may of us wouldn't even be here if it weren't for it!
I think Halo will turn out to be a very good game, but with all the experience and 'magic' that Rare have, I think that even with a $100,000 backing, Halo won't even compete with games like Perfect Dark 2 and other games with something to their name.
Nintendo - Ah, the company that could stand as 'The Future of Gaming' in itself. Loads of titles are expected to be shown at the Gamecubes first Real E3, okay so there has been news before, but hey, with 36 possible titles, new controller technology and more E3 2000 will just be a faint memory for Nintendo fans and 'old news' where they are concerned
The PS2 has quite a lot of life in it yet, but with a newer, faster, better Gamecube around Sony might struggle to make the Christmas sales...let's hope MGS2 hits stores before christmas, and then we'll see how they fare.
Because consoles have been released at such different times you can't really compare them...'N64 Vs PSX?' - Yeah right whatever, that's all in the past, it is the future of Gaming we need to look to, and at the moment it definitely looks like E3 is the place to be.

Out of all the companies you mentioned, Nintendo, Sony, MS, Rare and .... and..... that was about it, none of them develop for more than one platform.
Nintendo, Sony and MS don't. I'm not sure about Rare, I thought they were signed up to only develop for Nintndo, but i could be wrong.....
Anyway, back to Sega. They currently have games in the pipeline for FOUR consoles! 'Cube, XBox, PS2 and DC.
Admittedly not all of these are original titles, some of the PS2 titles are ports over from the DC. But a large percentage of the titles, over the 4 platforms, should be new.
I think it's fair to say, whether you're a Sega fan or not, they do make excellent games. Even if you've got a PS2, you must be looking forward to getting your hands on Crazy Taxi and the like.
The reason i point that fact out is because of this:
The three manufacturers, MS, Sony and Nintendo, all know that a lot of peoples minds haven't been made up about what console they are going to get. They also know that a lot of people will go where Sega will develop most for. Because of this, they will probably all want to show off the Sega titles more than their own?
I believe they will. I think that all of the three manufacturers stands will have a whole host of Sega titles on them. Which is why i think that Sega will be the star of the show.
