Ive decreased the resolution, changed the "Hertz" display and colours to 16 bit but still it doesnt work. Anyone have any ideas?

If it doesn't, try downloading a few from t'internet.
Although, i think your problem could be answered by looking at your Media-Player's options, it's in the 'plug-ins' menu.
Or, your media player might need updating.
It lets you watch DVDs from any region without switching the hardware region lock.
