Although the main event at WrestleMania 21 is set to feature Randy Orton vs. Triple H, nothing firm has been decided for Mick Foley, The Rock and Steve Austin, all of whom have expressed interest in appearing. Mick Foley has been loosely talked about for a match with either Ric Flair or Hassan, but nothing has really even been discussed for the other two. At this point, Foley and Rock are pretty definite for the show, while Austin is still up in the air, since no major negotiations have taken place.

I'd like to go on record right now and say that I am very much against Rock, Autin, Foley or any other non-regular member of the WWE roster appearing at Wrestlemania. Why should the guys who busted their butts on the road for most of the year have less chance of getting a spot on the biggest card of the year because some old has-beens and WWE deserters want to give their egos (and wallets) a bit of a boost?

first of all austin has had a severe neck injury and wrestlemania 19 was his send off match and how could anybody not welcome mick foley into wrestlemania? he practically killed himself for this company so he can do what he wants when he wants. i reckon triple h orton is pretty much certain at wrestlemania, probably dudleyz for the tag belts, maybe a change to bring the european title back? who knows

True. I would like to see them get a place on the show but I can see what you're saying. They don't really deserve it if they're pushing regular WWE wrestlers off the card.

If it's anything like Wrestlemania XX, every man and his dog will get a part on the show, so you won't have to worry about everyone who has been working throughout the year getting an appearance bonus... :D
