I just shot (with an air rifle, silly) and killed two rats that have been loitering around my aviary this past week.
They died from a combination of skill, accuracy, and 6 hits to the head with a shovel.

Got them both in quick succession, too.

I mate of mine shot a rat 36 times with a BB gun and still it didn't die. In the end I got sorry for it and hit him over the head with a big stick. We ain't friends no more.
