I have a DVD Writer Drive, and I have a few films I want to shove onto DVD.
Is there anyway I can just put a series of 900Mb .avi's in a series on a DVD?
Fortunately it didn't do the random 3 hours of blackness at the end, only because I stopped it.
I'm going to try another film, to see what happens.

Ok, it seems to have done what I wanted it to do, except it's converted the avi into a mpg file without sound, and with a 3 hours of blackness bolted onto the end....

No need for cracks and all that illegal gubbins, get TMPGEnc from here http://www.tmpgenc.net/e_download.html, if you get stuck, just ask.

It turns the .mpg files into .vob files along with the information files that have to be on the dvd for it to be read by the player.

For this one, just right click on the first file in the folder which has been rar'red, then click extract, confirm all that and it should extract all of the files and leave you with a new folder at the bottom which contains the .bin and .cue files.

How did you do it? As soon as you open nero you should close the wizard and click recorder > burn image, then navigate to and select the .cue file that came with the film. Hit burn, proper job.

It's actually 3 films, 'Fade to Black', 'Shaun of the Dead' and The Bourne Supermacy'

How do I do that? Just a simple AVICoversion prgram such as http://www.download.com/Cucusoft-MPEG-AVI-to-DVD-VCD-SVCD-MPEG-Converter-Pro/3000-2140_4-10345839.html (assuming I can crack/find a serial for it)?

It's that 'suthor and burn' bit that scares me. What exactly is 'authoring'?
And another thing, I have 2 other films, one is saved in 2 folders, CD1 and CD2, which have in them about 30 RAR-archives saved as 'pot.oc12.cd1', and the rest of the files are 'pot.oc12.cd1.r30','pot.oc12.cd1.r31',.... through to 'pot.oc12.cd1.r38'. I was soo confused/scared by that :-P
The other is in 2 files, one .Bin, one .Cue. I tried to burn them to a CD using Nero and everytime I did it the burning just froze when it got to '100%', so the CD was never finalized or anything, meaning I was left with 3 coasters.

I can't stress this enough.
God only knows why people use Nerouselessshit over Alcohol 120%.
