Do bad bunchy wrapping, it's more exciting for the person opening it because they can't guess what it is from the shape.

I've wrapped presents in the bag I bought them home from the shop in, and newspaper.

You'll probably use it all even if you don't want to.

If the presents don't want to get wrapped, then they won't be. That's my motto. But I always try ... and fail, in a giant mess of twisted sellotape and paper that shows more of the white underside than the actual pattern.

But who cares? It all gets thrown away anyway.
Well, actually, most of it gets eaten by my dog - boxing day is made all the more fun by chasing her into the garden to chuck up every half an hour.
