OMG, yeah, our problems are just so massive - I mean, 90% + of our country isn't well above the poverty line, isn't suffering from drug addictions/severe mental illness etc. NO! We must sort out our own hugely wealthy and affluent nation before we actually FEED some people who have no hope.
The money needs to go towards stabilising the political side of things.
"Here starving poor person, take this food from the money we have raised, it'll feed you and your family for the next 2 weeks!!"
- "then what?" (in own language)
