Whether it's new news or not, this is still an excellent thing- The Simpsons has gone steadily downhill in recent years, and Gervais is a bloody good comedy writer. I only hope he doesn't end up trying and faling at delving into American humour, and coming up with something as completely unfunny as a programme like Friends.

Odd, considering it was only revealed omg live and exclusive at the comedy awards when Matt Groening was getting his lifetime achievement award.

Strange, maybe I just have magical sight into the future, because I've known about this for ages, when Gervais revealed it, NOT Groening.
