OK, I'm attempting to get a question answered and hopefully bring together those with questions and those with answers. I will direct this mainly at Goatboy as he seems to have the answer to every question, and know every detail about everything.

OK, my question is about back to the future 2. You know those hoverboard things. Did they actually do that for real? Like using big underground electro-magnets and going to huge expense?

Probably not, but it would be great if they did!

Anyone else have burning questions to ask someone who knows about films?

Of course that's what you are and no one claims you are anything else than what you claim. It was a good film, I think number 3 is the best, but brought a tear or 2 to my eye!

Well, not really a geek, just an obsessional interset in celluloid.

No, they were wirework and backshots.

They claimed it was real, and the world got moist over them.

However, merely the magic of cinema.

I really very much doubt it but that's another film I love, Michael J Fox is a wonderful actor, I hope his Parkinson's disease is under control, does anyone know if he's getting better? But the hoverboards were great weren't they!

No idea mate, however I imagine that it was done using a blue screen for some shots. But for other shots a real skateboard that later had its wheels edited out!
