Alright, this is it in short (I have spare time).
Religion is a compensatory fantasy. It is an illusion which makes people feel better about thier lives. However, in doing so, it prevents any real change, since it makes the condition of the oppressed (ie the working class) bearable. Religion must be destroyed in order to replace the illusory happiness of the people with the genuine happiness of the people.
So now it is pretty much a relic in this country, as we are no longer oppressed (we outsource our working class to developing countrys).
