Poor Curtis Mayfield. Paralysed from the neck down when a lighting rig fell on him. Still managed to make an album after this and died a few years later.
Genius, but a flawed genius. He made loads of albums, all about half an hour long, always with some awful cheesy stuff, but also always with at least one genuine classic that makes the album worth having. IMO Superfly is probably his best album, get other top songs like Freddie's Dead and the title track. Rubbish film though.

Stick 'em into Google and tag on a "+lyrics"
It should come up with the whole lyrics, song name and band.
