I'm trying to uninstall AVG 6.0 so I can install AVG 7.0 but when i attempt this, a popup saying "Cannot find Shell.DLL". I've downloaded the file but i'm not sure on how to install it into my system. The advice the site gave me didn't work and the file didn't come with a manual. Does anyone know how to install this? Many thanks.
I tried installing 7.0 without uninstalling 6.0 but the same message came up saying the same thing. When i tried uninstalling it manually the same happened. Any ideas?
Did you manually uninstall V6 ? If you did try installing V7 - it checks your current installation and removes V6 before installing v7.
If you've still got a problem removing v6 then I'll dig out a Microsoft link for their uninstaller appplication that normally sorts out these sort of issues.
