But I thought this was fantastic.
I can't really be bothered to go into detail, because I never do with films because, well, I can never really be bothered.

The whole "book of photographs" resolution is a hand slapping the forehead and a muttered "of course, it's so simple........"
A romantic film of sorts without, indeed, schmaltz is a rarity now really.
I'm not particularly keen on romantics really, as in, I wouldn't actively sit down and watch one - but as I said, I loved this.
The gnome thing was great too. There were so many little things like that that were so simple, yet so incredibly effective.

"Life is Beatiful" is a brilliant wartime one that I suggest you make a point of watching.
I've never seen Amelie though.
Delicatessen is a very black near future canabalism comedy, City of lost children is best described as a dark fairy tale.
Jeunets latest, "A Very Long Engagement" is on my to see list.

I might start to look into more foreign films, seeing as how I've been lucky enough to have seen a great one as my first.

Same as ever. There's some crap out there, but there's also solid gold. Don't limit yourself because something's got subtitles.
