Live Clutch singing "La Curandera".
One of the best rock bands around, with a frontman that comes off like a Southern Baptist preacher.
Awesome.
"Did you not grant quarter to the daemon, giving treatment to its wounds?
And would you not consider it unnatural to be born outside the womb?
We eagerly await your response and your best defense.
La curandera is the young girl
In a linen dress of white.
She dances on black sand in the night
In her linen dress of white.
Let us vote to dunk the witch in the river Styx and photograph the lye.
So in the shadow of Cerebus her spirit will reside.
La curandera is the young girl
In a linen dress of white.
She dances on black sand in the night
In her linen dress of white.
Bird in the fire, mouthful of sand
The scale and feather, the lock and key
The Lord of Weather, The Beast at peace
Shed not a tear for humanity, go fetch my stars"
Winamp plays it as an audio file
Seen Hurt loads but still makes me feel sad.

I use download accelerator plus. There's probably a far easier way, but I stick to what I know. http://www.speedbit.com/DAP7/Default.asp?. It's probably loaded with spyware.
I'll take you through Perfect Drug.

Very true. I went through a phase of MM around about "Antichrist Superstar", which I do still enjoy. Later albums however opened my eyes to the manufactured nature and "lets shock people, cause, it's like all rebellious and stuff." values. Heard the latest album at a friends. It sucked.
I still think Reznor in the future will be considered a genius. On face value most of his music is angstyTeenShoutyRebellionF***YOU!!!!!! but the guy is a musical genius, and post Fragile he's definately mellowing and exploring new avenues. Not avenues to everyones taste, but definitly places no-one has been before.

Aye, I downed the lot this morning. Covert 'em to something my DVD player will read, and instant compilation video. Always been after the original "Perfect Drug" version too, without having to buy the "Lost Highway" soundtrack.
The cash "Hurt" cover is one of those rare beasts. Something that on paper sounds totally wrong and shouldn't work at all, but in reality is a beautiful thing to behold. A man couldn't leave a greater epitaph. Reznors original is great, but the Cash version is heart rending.

I think any Marylin Manson fans should watch this vid and listen to Downward Spiral to hear where he stole his image/act/music from.

Romanek is a superb director, even the artists I don't like are worth watching (ie Madonna). The "Can't Stop" for the RHCP is my fav of their vids (apart from "Soul To Squeeze"), but for me - Cash's "Hurt" cover is the standout.

*seeth*. I had tickets for London once, but had to pull out due to having an exam the following day. Grrrr. Jealous.
