When I say Fantasy Books I mean the ones when you battle enemies whilst reading the book and so on. They've been advertised on the custard recently. Might pick one up eventually, sound interesting enough.

I used to read these, the Jackson ones were always the best. House of Hell - classic.

I've got the old vintage cover though - before the kiddy updates.

Best ones I read were the "Lone Wolf" ones.
Not brilliant writing, but had a overall ongoing story arc and some cool mythology.

Favorite Jackson Fighting Fantasy book was "Deathtrap Dungeon".

Heh. It's been years since I've thought of these. I can still remember the events in "flight from the dark" pretty clearly.

I remember reading those when I was very young.

Always used to keep my finger on the page so if I turned to wrong one and died, I always could go back.

They really were rubbish.

I "converted" one into a "game" on my BBC Micro.

It "ruled".
