If anyone here is interested, a great fantasy (NO! Not that sort Goatboy!) write is a bloke called Terry Goodkind.

He has a series out called The Sword of Truth, and it's amazing.

There was a lot of problems with his last Book...

The Red Salamander or something?

Apparently it was a Dirk Gently book... but the publishers felt it was written out of context to the other books in the series... Equally it was too similar to a Dirk Gently book to be published as a new novel...

So you can imagine how it would hack him off?

Even though... that was a couple of years ago now, so I suspect he had kept himself busy with his Digital Village multi-media company...?

Heart Attack whilst working out in a gym.

Now, it is really, really tempting to highlight the irony there, but I have too much respect.

To be serious:

I read some of his book and enjoyed them. It's a shame there will be no more from him.

Nor do I, but I make exceptions for the hitch hiker's guides. They're just classics. I don't believe he died :( And i still haven't seen it on the news..

I've read Hitchhikers many times, and i always enjoyed it.

This is a sad loss, RIP.

Anyone know what actually happened to him?
