I'm sort of wavering in between a few ideas at the moment so thought it would be interesting (well, compared to half the crap in this forum) to see what other people would say.
List away...
and defy the use for cd's and books.
However on a less stupid note, I'd take "A guide to raft building" book.
The CD would be the audio-book of the aforementioned title in case my eyes got tired
my luxury item would be lumber, rope and prostitutes.

Book: A book of Radiohead lyrics
Luxury Item: Ibanez JEM
Oh, and I found the site for the Radio show, that asks the question to celebrities. They give 8 albums though, and then other choices. Muh, anyway here's the link:

And check out Clarkson's - brilliant.
CD would be Best of Elvis (reason why is coming up)
1 Book would be 'how to run a casino'
and the luxury item would be a fully assembled casino with internet, so you can advertise your 'exclusive desert island casino' to the world.
Then just sit and wait, playing 'Viva Las Vegas' through the casino's loudspeaker system, until the millionaires in their expensive boats come to the island...
