Just like at No Mercy, when the unstable client of Paul Heyman appeared out of nowhere to interfere in Taker's Last Ride Match with JBL, Heidenreich struck again at the Fatal Four Way at Armageddon.
Undertaker was preparing to put the finishing touches on JBL when Heidenreich stormed the ring and began to attack Taker.
With all three of the challengers seemingly out cold, JBL tried to pin Eddie Guerrero and then Booker T, but both men kicked out.
And before JBL could even get to Taker, the Dead Man popped up himself, ready to punish a petrified JBL.
But Heidenreich pulled Taker out of the ring and applied a choke hold on him. Meanwhile, Booker T was greeted with a Clothesline From Hell as JBL got the unlikely and exhausting victory to retain his WWE Championship.

Why? Why?
Now that JBL has still got the title the future of Smackdown is still not safe from the WORST WWE Champion in the history of the WWE. Where will it end and why has neither of the other three men had their deserved title reigns?
And where is the WWE going with this Heidenrich/Taker angle? Its not very exciting, if not really annoying.

Yeah, but thats what we thought about the whole Benoit/HHH thing. But I doubt that will be true, I still see Taker winning the Rumble, although would like to see someone new challange for it.

Big Show I agree with, but I really don't want to see another Angle Title Reign.

That is ridiculous. JBL has now made all three of his main challengers look useless and there is no-one else left for him to beat. A question for the booking squad. Who will JBL now face at the Rumble?
