I need to know (for an English language investigation) which American grades have which age students in them.
So it might be like
First Grade = 7/8 years old
I really don't know what it is, though.
If anyone can help it would be cool.
Cheers.
I've got the scientific-looking formula
Age = [grade + 5] which does the job fine and dandily.
-----------
Flesch-Kincaid Grade level
Women’s
Closer = 6.8
Cosmopolitan = 11
New Woman = 6.6
Mean average = 8.13
Converted to age = 13
Men’s
Ice = 10.8
Front = 10.2
Esquire = 12
Mean average = 11
Converted to age =16
So the men’s magazine editors letter’s have a higher reading age than women’s
-------------
Thats what I'm doing if you were at all curious.
So if you're thinking of generalising, make sure you don't overlook this.
Coolage.
I can figure it from there, cheers.
