"Webcam through flash mx"

For uni i am currently being asked to create a new boardband application. I need to stream a webcam and audio through a flash player. Does anyone have any experience of doing this? Could they either point me to where they learnt to do this? Or could they give me instructions.

Basically my group has to make a interactive flash application for a uni. The lecturer and students would be connected through a webcam and through audio. It will also have a chat console.

I am going to be working on this for the next few days and probably going to be worked on next term as well. But having problems finding how i would go about developing this.

any help would be good.

Give you pretty much everything i was looking for just got to build it all tomorrow then i mite post it on my website monday and ask people fror here to help test the text side of it.

I am pretty confident that we can get video streaming, text chat and audio done by tuesday. But as we need to raise our grade a bit we really need to get the live feed working as no other group has managed this yet.

I have a habbit of leaving things to the last minute. But i need the pressure to get anything done. Lucky for me my dissertation is my choice and will probably be a 3d animation.

I had a whole year to do it, it was my final year dissertation. I wasted too much time pursuing the wrong solutions, in my honest opinion the project was never defined properly. but in the end I had something working, all be it very basic - I had no time to create a nice user interface.

It's easy to underestimate how long a project will take. If I had to go back and do it again, I'd do it a lot differently. As the actress said to the bishop.

Of course i should have started it weeks ago and not left it till the last 5 days to learn something before having to show something to my tutor.
