OK, I know bad cover versions are the norm for chart acts these days, but what about bands that shouldn't be producing awful covers?

No wait, I think the worst cover ever has to be Clock (I think) with their techno-nonsense version of 'Doo Wah Diddy'. Check it out and you'll see what I mean.
Daphne and Celeste, for trying to turn the hard rock anthem "School's Out" by Alice Cooper into a pop song. That hurt my ears muchly, as did Avril Lavigne's attempt at System Of A Down's "Chop Suey".
