You know that smaller rim inside your disc drives,thats for the smaller versions of Cd's and DVD's but i've only even seen one 8cm cd and it was free with a magazine.

The smaller discs are usually on used for promotional purposes, which is why you usually only find them on magazines etc.
However, some Sony Mavica digital cameras use recordable versions on which to store the pictures, so you can buy recordable 8cm discs.

I guess that would rule out the vertical stand :-)
Im sure I have read somewhere that it is not recommended that these be used.
