i am trying to download music with windows media player 10 and i need to download a plugin, when i try and download it takes ages to start and when its preparing to install it stops at about about ten bars.
i have read that stoping anti virus software sometimes works and crearing internet cach i have tried both and it still dosent work.

Media Player is pants for plugins, when it needs something it usually attempts to download needed files but falls over itself pants pants pants, for full plugins your better off downloading something from download.com. i recommend the sld codec pack or installing divx player, power dvd etc so whatever your trying to play it will take the plugin from that.
Try downloading the plugin through your browser, I always find it's better than downloading through a program, unless that program is Steam or BitTorrent.
