After taking back Black and White I was wondering around Electronics Boutique looking for a worthy replacement. I heard some people here go online Eliminating each other playing the one and only UNREAL TOURNAMENT. I got it for £30 which I later found out was a bargain. Once home I sat down and found out you can play with 16 people online(which impressed me very much).Obviously you cannot play online yet but it can’t be that far away.
You start the game by having the Deathmatch mode which puts you up against 1 computer Bot. After completing 3 of these you can move on to Team Deathmatch, which teams you with 3 other of the computer players against 4 other Bots. Then after completing 4 of these you unlock Domination which means you have to defend a base while capturing one at the same time. The next mode is capture the flag which you can probably guess what you have to do. Can’t think of anymore at the moment.
Deathmatch
In the Deathmatch you are up against the latest al bots and as you get further through they will get harder, faster and make sparks fly with their rocket launchers. There is 8 to get through all of which are not at all disappointing. Your on your own now and this is good training before you play online.
Team Deathmatch
You are now teamed up with 3 other people and while playing the 1 player you discover they are not the brightest or best at killing or anything. They heavily rely on your battle skill so get good in Deathmatch before you let your team down. You are the team captain so you always have someone covering you, which is very annoying, as they don’t do anything except get in your way.
Domination
There are 3 bases scattered around the level and you have to capture them, stand by them and dissolve any enemy that comes near them. This is also done in teams so yet again you are teamed up with a bunch of stupid, clumsy old women for the match. Remember your always the team captain so try and get good and do not let your team down coz they need you.
Capture the flag
As stated by the title you and your TEAM have to capture the enemy’s flag but at the same time need someone to guard yours at the same time. Make sure you put two of your team at your base(not much use anyway) one half way to the others and yourself should take the role of the thief capturing the flag.
Online
The online version has not come out obviously for the ps2 but I have the pc version and I play online regularly. This is for the experts and should be taken after you have completed the game. People here are excellent and when I went online straight away I was mullered.
This short and un-sweet review of Unreal Tournament is just to introduce you to the story which will be posted soon. The arenas are dripping with atmosphere and is a must buy for any formats.
“Try breathing out” suggested Ant.
“No good”.
Ant opened the cubical door, and looked around.
“Great there’s no one here”.
Stepping back, he pulled out his trusty silenced PPK.
“Close your eyes, Khazar, this won’t hurt one bit” warned Ant
Aiming up towards a shaken Khazar, Ant let out 5 short shots. Khazar fell from the ceiling, with the rim of the air vent wrapped around him.

do you think that red faction will be better then un real touneement
Adrian and ssxpro were in the building , but were hiding in boxes(much like metal gear solid) as the guards were patrolling. Once they'd worked out the guarding shifts they planned how to get to Khazar and Ant. A vunerable and weak guard strolled past bordly and BAM. SSxpro took his head off with his much liked Machete.
"What do we do now" asked ssxpro desperately
"See that office" Said adrian "it has a microphone going round the whole base. If we can get in there without being spotted then we can create some kind of a distraction, say ..............tell the workers they have a lunch break or somethin"
"your a genius adrian" said ssxpro thankfully.
Once in the office the pair schemed on how they could create a diversion.
MEANWHILE........................
"Infiltration," Ant said. Ant was a huge fan of the game Metal Gear Solid, and felt that the stealthy tactics Snake used were perfect for this mission.
"I'm not so sure, " ssxpro commented, "We have no stealth training, we'd have more chance just running in."
"You're forgetting that they outnumber us by hundreds," adrian pointed out.
"Well.....yes.....I suppose..." ssxpro was stuck.
"AHA!! Told you, ssx. Stealth tactics is what we should use. I've learnt a lot from playing MGS and Deus Ex."
"Okay." khazar said, "But we'll have to be extremely careful. If we get caught, then we're in huge trouble. If somebody sees you, run as quickly as possible for the nearest exit," he said authoritively.
Ant questioned, "Do we do it in groups?? 2 of us go one way, 2 of us the other??"
"Yeah, we don't want to all be together at the same time in case we get caught. Ant, you go with me, and ssxpro goes with adrian," Khazar said.
The posse creeped up to the base, where they finally split up. Ant and khazar went left, ssxpro and adrian right.

Ant pointed at the main gate, "Look, we can't go through there, it's guarded heavily."
"So how do we get in then?" khazar asked.
"Through there, " Ant said, pointing to a small entrance into the maintenence vents, which was a few metres to the left of one of the guards.
"Can we fit in there?"
"We'll have to. Also, to get rid of the guard, I'll throw this bag of sugar over the gate, which'll keep him distracted."
They both crawled up to the gate, and then Ant threw the sugar over the wall. The guards turned, and began to investigate the area in which it landed. This showed how stupid the guards were, which Wookiee had told them before.
Ant and khazar silently ran up to the vent, easily pulled it open, and quickly crawled inside.
"I wonder how the others are getting on?" khazar whispered to Ant.
