Worth downloading?

I'm kinda half way through, but yeah. No doubt it'll f*f**k up my system, but yeah...

Also, on a side note, looking for a worthy replacement to Windows MP 10 and RealPlayer Basic 10.

Any ideas?

Quintessential Player - someone recommended it on here and I downloaded it to try. It's very useful cos it can do a CDDB query through the Uni firewall. You can get a plug-in thingy to let it play RealPlayer files as well.

Service Pack 2 is worth installing, It has a firewall, pop up blocker and some other nice bits and pieces. If you don't want to download it you can order a free cd with it on from microsoft's web site.

Media Player 10 is basically the same as 9 when it's fully updated, has the option to rip CDs into MP3 format which is nice.

Alot of people have complained about service pack 2 messing up games but i have never had a problem with it. Even freedom force works on my computer still and thats almost unheard of. i haven't really noticed anything good about it but i just update whenever something is released. I don't use firewalls or pop-up blockers.

Hmm, I reckons I'll be sticking with iTunes for music and RealOne Player Basic for vids.

Just too used to it...

Yeah, I got SP2 the other day, and it's not bad. Few improvements that actually save me time, which is good - and I've not had any problems (yet).

In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.

Very pleased with the help given by your staff. They explained technical details in an easy way and were patient when providing information to a non expert like me.
