He's now signed for Chelsea, and wears the number 31 shirt - but will we ever see him play in it? Would he even make the team and displace the superb Ed De Goey? Must have been fed up of sulking in number 3 goal keeper spot behind the aged Raimond Van Der Gouw and the flamboyant Fabien Barthez, Bosnich didn't deserve to be demoted so quickly. I hope he rises again into a higher state of goalkeeping, and manages to keep his hand signals to himself.
Either way I feel it is a great shame and waste of a good talent. Bosnich was right to leave for United, as the opportunity to win the Premiership wouldn't have happened so soon at Villa Park, no disrespect to John Gregory's side, but it's time for a club to make an approach. Chelsea then...
The 6ft 1 Australian was born in Fairfield 29 years ago last January (13th), he's played for Sydney, Brondby, Villa and United and now he resides on the Bench at Stamford Bridge.
He's had his troubles, like many keepers, and couldn't live up to the Great Dane's legacy at the club, but has had some good times in his career so far managing player of the year for villa in 1994 - saving an incredible 8 penalties in the season!
