Once you have paid for and established your site (the busiest places costing the most) and thought of a fancy name for your place, you must then decide exactly how to advertise to get the customers you want. Do you go for the expensive, but effective plane with trailing banner, or the cheaper and tackier bloke in costume idea? Or perhaps you just advertise in the local paper instead, hoping to reach others by word of mouth.
Next comes your choice of food source. Do you pay for locals to catch fresh fish and hope they can come up with the goods, or perhaps go to a warehouse that sells dodgy bulk buys and risk food poisoning? Perhaps you could get the food from only the finest sources, putting the price of your meals up by quite a bit, of course.
The last step before inviting your customers through the door is to instruct the chef (or cooks?) on how the food should be prepared, affecting cost again, and what ingredients should go into any 'specials' that might be on your menu. If you get the match wrong and your customers have a reaction, you might have to bring in more cleaners!
Once you are finally open for business, you will have to manage your staff as well as watching customer reactions to the food and the place in general. Do you only get rough teenagers coming in and spending just a few pounds, or perhaps you just get the same few regulars? Manage and change your resturant to suit the public and your pocket, otherwise you'll get a visit from the bank manager, and they won't be coming to buy food!
Graphics should be similar to the other theme style games and not only should there be thought bubbles above people's heads to tell you what they think, but a suggestions booth could be set up in the corner for people to video their thoughts. This could take the form of witty pre-recorded dialogue from voice actors.
Lastly, and internet option could see you go head to head with a rival resturant in the same street as you battle it out for customers, including sandwich board people fighting in the street and spies from the opposing team pretending to be customers.
