I need to know how retreive todays date in VB.
I thought it was today.
e.g.

But it opens a blank message box.
Can someone help.
datetoday = Format(Now, "Short Date")
That's what i used, you got me on the right track. Cheers guys.
I use date, timmagh, but it takes the date of the field named 'date' in the table the form is run on. So i tried renaming that feild but now it doesnt like using date in VB.
I'll experiment with the variable idea.
ie, todaysdate as date, you then set its format (mm/dd/yyyy).
Been a long while since I have done VB.
You are talking about Visual Basic right?
What was the point of doing that?
