A friend (yes - I have lots) is buying her daughter a webcam for Chrimbo and has asked me which is the best one to get. She has some conditions, though:
i) less than £40;
ii) preferably silver or, failing that, blue.
I'm about to do some browsing, but if any of you know a decent quality cam that fits the bill then please let me know.

Creative webcam NX - about £20 and it's white/blue. Not a bad webcam either.

you could get something better for that much. shop around. theyre all BASICLY the same but some seem to be better quality than others. ask instore.
It depends what it's going to be used for. For just a bit of video-messaging and stuff, it's fine, but if you need higher quality, then spend a bit more.
