What it started off as is an Pad, then joy stick, then analouge, and now stearing wheels. Stearing wheels were out ages ago but it was basic, now you have force feedback that incresses the control of games alot. Arcades have the basic shape of cars with gear sticks and seats. Butthe future, what one arcade company is always thinking of is the way that you can get maxium feel from games. Some ideas are to actully have a raised car from the ground, accelerate and you can feel yourself go back, brake and you feel yourself jerk forward, turn and you tilt. this wold be the best way in arcades to get the maximum performace but would make alot of noise. they would have to have a soundproof barrier aroud it and all this would cost alot of money but will enhance the way we play games one more step to reality.
