Recently I've been going all retro. I think buying Band on the Run started it, and what a fantastic album that was. Considering that it came after The Beatles, you'd think Macca had made all his best stuff, but this one album contains probably some of his best solo work ever.
Tesco (bless em) had a nice sale recently (possibly still on) with the Rolling Stones 40 licks for a stupid price (under £3!), a whole double album of hits (ok, so 1.5 albums of hits and half an album of their later stuff). So I've now ended up listening to that in the car as well.
Prior to this year's Cure revival, I was listening to their fantastic earlier albums (up to Disintegration), and lets not forget Clapton, The Kinks, The Animals and a few others that were floating around in my CD player.
It just shows that good music never dies.
Under £3? I got it last Christmas for over £10.
The Cure singles are excellent, not a fan of albums really.
