From the creators of Wallace and Gromit, comes this brilliant film, Chicken Run. The laughs will never run dry (even if your dehydrated) with the lovable plastercine characters. The film is based on the hit film The Great Escape.

The Plot.

Mr Tweedy, the goofball husband, and Mrs Tweedy, the evil wife, are egg farmers. If eggs are not laid, chickens will not live; and that is a fact.

Trapped in a life of monotonous egg laying, Ginger, Bunty, Babs, Fowler and Mac are on a mission. They plan to 'fly the coop' and escape from Tweedys Farm forever. God knows they've tried but they never succeed. They've tried going over, under and through the barbed wire that is a prison to them, only to be held back by Mr Tweedy.

One particular night, when Ginger was giving up all hope, an idea just flew at her, quite literally. This miracle comes in the form of Rocky the flying rooster. Ginger wants him to train them to fly. And it's just in time because the Tweedys have brought a machine to make money. They're not interested in eggs anymore, they're going to make chicken pies, not apple pies.

It's time to leave the nest and when Ginger goes to get Rocky all she can find is a broach and a poster. A circus poster with Rocky being shot out of a canon. All her dreams are shattered, but she wont give up that easy. The flock of chickens build a flying chicken out of their huts.

Once they are ready to take off, Mrs Tweedy cottons on and grabs the end of the giant chicken. This is when Rocky shows up and saves Ginger and her feathery friends.
