What is it about United where if something slightly goes wrong suddenly we're in a 'crisis'? Latest thing is one of the muppets on Soccer Saturday (the one who replaced racist McLintock) saying United are having a goalkeeper crisis.
Ermmm sorry but what? Is this the same United that has conceeded just 6 goals in the last 13 games that we're talking about here? My god we're leaking like a bucket with a hole in it aren't we? *Sighs* idiot
Carrol makes one mistake and suddenly the calls are back out for us to get a new keeper and once again we're being linked with everyone from Iker Casillas to Barry Stokes who plays for the Red Dragon Pub just because they happen to stand inbetween the sticks.
Our defence and goalkeepers are just fine thank you much, the only positions we need to concentrate on now are finding someone to replace Keano when he retires (Gattuso) and another winger to supply our strikeforce (Joaquin) Everything else is just fine.

There was a lack of communication between them, Howard should have caught it in the first place anyway.

That was Silvestre's fault against Bolton, Howard had it until froggy knocked it away. Not really fair on Howard though, with the way the defence was at beginning of season Buffon wouldn't have coped
To be fair, Howard was taken out of the team for making quite a few mistakes in a shot period of time. The Bolton game being in the same week.
If Carrol makes another blunder in the next week or so then Howard should be given the chance.

Well the muppet who was there said it was a crisis which i just had to laugh at. 6 conceeded in 13 games hardly seems to me that we're in a crisis.
I was just shocked seeing as Fergie was quick enough to drag Howard out of goal for his error (which was on a slippy surface, defender flying across him and he actually blocked the first shot unlike Carrol who let it straight in) that he didn't do the same to Carrol. No offence to West Brom but that would have been a good game to bring him back in and get him reaquainted with the defence in a match enviornment

I watched soccer saturday too, the main point wasnt of a crisis as such. Just that Carrol isnt world class, and it has been pretty hard to replace schmeichel.
If you want to go for the major honours you need the world class keepers is what they are saying. Arsenal only get away with it becasue they score so many goals.
