Ironically enough, I don't really like Metallica's Black Album- moving away from thrash to a more mainstream style isn't too great to my mind, although "Enter Sandman", "Nothing Else Matters" and "Sad But True" are standouts.

If you're into metal, UFO are well worth checking out- in the 30-odd years they've been around they've made everything from stoner rock and hard rock to power metal. The live version of "Rock Bottom" from "Strangers In The Night" is highly reccomended.
