Right.. I finally got a wireless router and it's wired to the PC I'm on right now,later on I'll be sharing the connection with a laptop and another PC once I can order the hard drive (which years ago I thought was complicated but it's easier than I first thought).
I have a Netgear WGR614 has a inbuilt firewall with WEP on in the security menu with a 128bit encryption strength
Will I need to use a software firewall for both PC's and the Laptop just incase?
Also I have a slightly silly question to ask you all, is router pronounced as Roo-ter or Row-ter?

What OS are you running.
Win XP and SP1 or 2 should be fine, you can use the inbuilt firewall.

I say rooter however may mate says rowter. Rowter just sounds American to me.
You're probably better off with a software firewall as well. Something along the lines of zone alarm.
