Reminded me of the bit in Animal House when the horse dies:
Bluto: "Holy s##t!"
D-Day: "There were blanks in that gun!"
Flounder: "I didn't even point the gun at him!"
Bluto: "Holy s##t!"
D-Day: *checks gun* "There were blanks in that gun!"
Flounder: "Maybe he had a heart attack!"
Bluto: "Holy s##t!"
I liked the bit :
"This C4 in its normal state is completely harmless. Why, I could hit it with this ...." *BOOOOOM*
Barton Fink "I'll show you the life of the mind"
Big Lebowski "This is what happens when you #@%$ a stranger in the ass"
Hudsucker Proxy "Sure sure"
Millers Crossing "What's the rumpus?"
There are quite a few motifs the Coens repeat in their movies, and being a film geek I enjoy picking them out.
They usually have a blustery titan, weird haircuts, dream sequences, vomiting, repeated phrases and hats.

I didn't find that bit particularly funny. A few people around me were laughing like jackasses, but I just didn't get it.
I enjoyed the film in general though, some great moments and it does have a certain visual flair.
"Easiest thing in the world"

Marlon Wayans, you mean?
"This is Mountain Girl"
"You brought yo' b##### to The Waffle House?"
"She is the other half of my life"
"You brought yo' b##### to The Waffle House?"
"I'll thank you to not refer to Mountain Girl like that"

It was mainly criticised for being too slow and not much happening. Strange because there wasn't a single moment when I felt bored, the dialogue and set-pieces kept the film flowing brilliantly.
One thing, I could have sworn the girl Marlon Wayans gets fired for looking at was a man.
Despite universally poor reviews, The Coens did it again in my opinion.
Hanks wasn't his usual annoying chubby American Average Joe persona and his team were superb.
Typical Coen visual brilliance (the opening shots were pure genius), and their expected marriage of visuals and unexpected but fantastic music.
1st time I laughed was the pun on his name
"PHD"
"As in Elmer?"
"...sorry?"
"Fudd"
If you like The Coen Bros, well worth a watch.
With dogs in gasmasks, a football game shot from inside a player's helmet and Marlon Wayans getting fired for appreciating an "ass that would stop a bus"
I have one for you - rise to vote sir
