I arranged a job interview with them about 3 weeks ago for last night at 6pm, i get their sign in and stuff and some fat woman comes down to take me out the back or something, we go out the back and she says "Before we going any further i'd just like to tell you that all we have left are night shifts and you have to be over 18"

I'm like, what the fork? i've just wasted my money to get hear, and to get told that!

I was so peeded off!!

End of rant.

I got turned down by Sainsbury's too.

I have a bad back, and so it's hard for me to get work. I can't lie to them on the application form, and so I had to tell them.

Him: "Can you reach the top and bottom shelves without being in any pain?"
Me: "Errr I dunno, I've never worked here before."
Him: "Oh...errrr...well, right, we'll get back to you in a week's time."

I got a letter two days ago. :c(

I've never ever worked in a supermarket before, and never will. Closest I would imagine will be some IT job I'm applying for at Tesco's, but I'll never be one of those shelf stackers.

I worked for John Lewis for a couple of months, definetly slightly better than most shop jobs, as you're there to help the customers, not stack shelves. Still get the odd dolt of a customer who will ruin your day though.

I feel as must be on my own here.

I've worked part time at Morrisons and loved it!

I worked for Sainsburys for nearly 2 years...if you don't end up working there you've had a lucky escape!! They treat you really badly!
